Hosting an event.

Conferences, CME, webinars, workshops, journal clubs, symposia and college fests.

Two settings decide who gets in

Start from Host an Event. Almost every mistake here comes from treating these two as one setting. They are independent.

  • Visibility — who can see it. Public is listed, shareable and carries a calendar feed. Private is unlisted: only people you invite can see it at all.
  • Access — who can attend. Open lets anyone RSVP instantly, Approval means you decide on each request, and Invite only is exactly that.
New events start Private and invite-only
Nothing goes public by accident. You have to choose to publish, which means an event you are still drafting cannot be found by anyone.

Capacity and the waitlist

Set a capacity and anyone beyond it moves to a waitlist automatically. Approving someone from the waitlist notifies them, so you do not have to chase.

Inviting people

Invite by email address, comma or space separated. An address that already has a MediQuorum account is attached to the event immediately.

An address that does not is held as a pending invitation and claimed automatically when that person signs up — so inviting a colleague before they have joined works, and they arrive to find the event already waiting for them.

On the day

Check attendees in from the organizer panel. Announcements, posts, a gallery and a discussion thread each live on the event, and support messages reach the organizers privately rather than in front of everyone.
