Getting started.

The first ten minutes, in the order that matters.

Create your account

Two ways in. Continue with Google is one click and confirms your address automatically. Or use email and password — at least eight characters.

Signing in with Google on an address that already has a password account joins them together rather than creating a second one.

Password reset is not deliverable yet
Outbound email is not switched on in production, so verification and reset links are written to the server log rather than sent. Until that changes, Google sign-in is the reliable way in, and a forgotten password cannot currently be reset without help — get in touch.

Your first ten minutes

Complete your profile
Add your clinical role, specialty and institution from your profile. Your specialty shapes the home feed, so this one setting does the most work.
Follow the specialties you practise
Browse Specialties and follow a few. The feed narrows to them instead of showing everything.
Ask something real
A specific title, the detail a colleague would need, and the right specialty. See asking and answering.
Answer one thing
Reputation comes from being useful, and answering is the fastest way to be found by people in your field.
Look around the rest
RSVP to an event, or join a community if your society, department or college has one.
